Merged into ACDOCA
COBK stored CO document headers in ECC — each CO posting created a COBK record with document number, posting date, reference, and text. In S/4HANA, the concept of a separate CO document is eliminated. FI and CO are unified in ACDOCA, so there is no separate CO document header. COBK is no longer populated for new transactions. The BELNR in ACDOCA serves as the unified reference for both FI and CO aspects of every posting.
key differences:
  • •COBK was a CO-only document header; S/4HANA has one unified document (ACDOCA) for FI and CO — no separate CO document number sequence
  • •CO document number (COBK.BELNR) no longer exists in S/4; the FI document number is the single reference point
  • •Internal order confirmations and activity allocations, which previously generated COBK entries, now create ACDOCA line items with CO dimension fields
  • •Historical COBK data is retained post-migration but no new COBK records are created in S/4HANA
